Centerpieces

This is similar to our centerpieces, but ours will be in hurricanes with woven bottoms.  More sand, shells, sand dollars and starfish, and light green candles.

Favors

Our boxes are not white, but instead light blue.  (I got them at Michael's on super-duper clearance!)  The favor itself will be chocolate covered fudge from the Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen here in Michigan.  It's allowing us to share a bit of (my adopted, and Eric's home) state - as well as let everyone know that we're friends with some of the best fudge people in the business!  This business is owned by our dear friends, and Im SO excited to share their product with our family & friends.

Their products are to die for.  Kate, my matron of honor, will tell you that the caramel patty is the way to go (and its hard to argue).  The chocolate-covered S'Mores are something else.  They do roasted nuts, taffy ... all kinds of yummy treats.  The fudge, of course, is the most visible of their products.  Its FABULOUS - then put a chocolate candy coating on it?  wow.

Table Cards

Picture
Despite a career in sports (or perhaps, because of ... )  - I really have only one true "fan" sport affiliation.  I am a dyed-in-the-wool, die-hard, Yankee fan.  The New York Yankees are the most celebrated, successful (and probably hated) professional sports franchise in the United States.  27 World Championships, if you're counting at home.

For our table numbers ... I strayed from the beach theme a bit and will be using the uniform numbers of great Yankees.

From DiMaggio to Munson to Mattingly, with stops at Yogi and Pauly O and the Scooter ... I'm putting together an 8x10 collage of photos taken from Al Gore's internet, along with some facts about the player's career (for instance ... did you know that Phil Rizzuto, in addiiton to being one of the great shortstops in baseball history, also provided the lengthy baseball play-by-play in Meat Loaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light?  Didn't think so.)

Rather than individual seating cards, the names of the guests at each table will be listed on the collage.  They will all be mounted on heavier stock and displayed on small easels at the table guests will first encounter.  There will also be a smaller card (5x7)  displayed on each table.
